Give a Monetary Donation
If your neighborhood has not had a Bags to Give Back food drive or if you are unable to participate in your neighborhood’s drive but still wish to donate, a monetary donation is a great alternative contribution! Monetary donations are incredibly important and appreciated because not only do they help us to donate more food to those in need, but it also gives me the ability to purchase fresher foods while being able to guarantee that they are donated in a timely manner. 100% of monetary donations are spent on food and sanitary items to be used in meal/personal hygiene kits for people in need. If you wish to be sent a receipt and a picture as proof that your donation is being spent appropriately please contact the email bagstogivebacknj@gmail.com for more information. As a registered 501(c)(3) status nonprofit organization all monetary donations will be considered tax deductible.
Donate Food Items to Us
Would you like to give a direct food donation to the Bags to Give Back initiative? If you live in Union County in New Jersey it’s a very simple process! Just email us at the email address bagstogivebacknj@gmail.com and we can come to pick food up from your address or at an agreed upon drop-off point. All food donations are absolutely appreciated, but due to travel costs, we do request that donations of less than 10 individual items either be dropped off directly to us or alternatively donated to your local food pantry.
Run Your Own Food Drive!
If you want to run a food drive of your own and make an impact we would love to help! Contact the email address: bagstogivebacknj@gmail.com to be sent copies of the formatting for the flier and to coordinate details. If you want to execute a food drive of your own and you live in Union County, New Jersey, but do not want to transport the food that you collect, no worries! We can come collect your contributions and transport them to one of our food bank partners free of charge.
Volunteer Hours
If you participate in a food drive we can verify volunteer hours for school programs like clubs or activities that require you to have an organization verify proof of your volunteer hours.
